Each COIL project is unique and its flexibility allows it to adapt to any discipline. However, there are a number of common elements, which are transversal and similar in all projects.
Where can I find a good partner to collaborate with?
THERE ARE SEVERAL WAYS TO FIND A GOOD PARTNER. Remember that the International Center can help you do this
1. Engaging in global partner search fairs for Virtual Exchange or COIL
(this participation can be done through the COIL technique of the International Center - coil@urv.cat).
Fairs in which the URV has participated so far:
-
SUNY COIL Center Global Network
How does it work?
All partners are first asked for their updated offer (COIL technical coordination will write to you asking the same question). A newsletter with all the options is then sent to all the partner universities that includes all the offers.
A synchronous meeting is then scheduled to meet and discuss the options. If you are unable to attend, you can contact the COIL teacher or coordinator via direct email. This fair takes place 3 or 4 times a year.
- UNICollaboration (EU)
How does it work?
Similar to the SUNY fair but UNICollaboration centralizes communications. This is a European-based network and also offers free courses and training.
- IVEC (International Virtual Exchange Conference)
How does it work?
World fair where various topics of virtual exchanges, online education, telecollaboration, etc. are discussed. There is also a section where you can search for a partner.
2. Actively looking for the partner and offering the COIL activity
Through the most active networks in which we participate:
- Aurora Network (European Alliance)
- INU (International Network of Universities)
- Global Network SUNY (State University of New York)
3. Directly sending the proposal to universities or professors that we know or consider interesting
- Personalized delivery to teachers we know.
- Personalized delivery to potential partner universities.
4. Accepting proposals that come to us from outside
- We receive an email from coil@urv.cat.
- We receive a proposal from our dean's office, department, research group…
- We receive a direct mail and contact coil@urv.cat.
REMEMBER: The International Center can help you a lot in this first task of searching for partners
